At Amer e Hijos we have had the honour of being part of the recent edition of the <\/span>Mallorca 5000 Skyrunning<\/b> organised in Mallorca as well as being the main sponsor. A great sporting event that took place in the Serra de Tramuntana, once again rewarding the perseverance, effort and dedication of each of the hundreds of participants who did not fail to reach the finish line. The preparations took months of intense work and came to an end in the first introductory events where the collaboration of institutions, sponsors and collaborators was highlighted.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A few days before the race, our new headquarters was preparing to receive the runner’s bags, numbers and T-shirts for all the runners and relays. We installed a large photocall where all the people involved in this great sporting event had a great time. We had three wonderful days where we could experience the great atmosphere of this event that is consolidated year after year on the island. We held the traditional race briefing in our training room the day before the race, which was hosted by the organisation. After the briefing, we served refreshments to all the participants.<\/span>

Runners from all over the island met at dawn on Saturday in S\u00f3ller with their eyes on Pollen\u00e7a, the finish line of this 66 km race. The runners started at six o’clock in the morning in the square of S\u00f3ller, facing a hard course with a passage through the five emblematic peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana. First they climbed l’Ofre, then Na Franquesa and then Puig de la Rateta before passing through C\u00faber, Massanella, Coll de Sa Batalla and Tomir to reach Pollen\u00e7a.<\/span>

Pau Bestard arrived around three o’clock in the afternoon, with the time of 9h.52:50. Second place went to Jaume Villanova (Viwo Hotels) with a time of 10h.23:21 and third place went to Daniel Mu\u00f1oz (C. Muntanya Alc\u00fadia) with 10h.25:06. Luis G\u00f3mez, from Altura, finished fourth with 10h.38:00 and Daniel Mayans (Matinam X Sommiar) finished fifth with a time of 10h.51:29.<\/span>

<\/span>The women were led by Asmaa Zammou, a native of Pollen\u00e7a, who clocked in at 12h:28:58. Cristina Prats (C. Muntanya Yais) was second with 12h.35:49 and Estefan\u00eda Mart\u00ed (Comando Sa Serra) entered third with 13h.27:48. Elena Vera Kai (Sa Milana Alar\u00f3) was fourth at 13h.53: 41 and Marta Florit (Mallorca A Dalt de Tot) was fifth at 14h.11:12.<\/span>
